Russia has attacked the Odesa, Sumy and Poltava regions, as well as other regions of Ukraine; there are casualties and injuries

On the night of 26 June and throughout the following day, Russian troops attacked a number of regions in Ukraine using drones, missiles and artillery. In several regions, damage to infrastructure, power cuts, and deaths and injuries have been reported.

Odesa Region

On the night of 26 June, Russian troops attacked energy and civilian infrastructure in the Vilkivska urban territorial community in the Odesa region.

The strike caused a fire. Units of the State Emergency Service promptly began to deal with the aftermath of the attack.

One person was injured and received the necessary medical attention.

Due to damage to the energy infrastructure, the town of Vilkove and some of the community’s settlements were left without electricity.

Sumy Region

In Sumy, a Russian attack drone struck the roof of a nine-storey residential block.

Rescue workers evacuated around 40 residents. The fires on the roof were quickly brought under control.

Also in the city, a drone struck a car park. As a result of the attack, a car caught fire, and around ten other vehicles were damaged. No reports of casualties have been received.

In the Hlukhiv community, a large-scale fire broke out in a warehouse following an attack by Russian UAVs. Due to the threat of further strikes, rescue workers operated whilst taking the security situation into account, but managed to extinguish the fire.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 887 strikes on 44 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

One person was killed and ten others were injured as a result of the attacks on Zaporizhzhia.

There were 104 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure.

Separately, a residential building and outbuildings in Zaporizhzhia were partially destroyed as a result of a drone attack. A fire broke out covering an area of 150 square metres, which was extinguished by the emergency services.

Three people were injured.

Poltava region

Overnight, Russian forces attacked the Kremenchuk district with missiles and drones.

Strikes on industrial facilities were recorded. The attack caused a partial power cut.

Specialists are working to restore the power supply. No reports of casualties have been received.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Since the evening, Russian troops have attacked the Nikopol and Synelnykiv districts nearly ten times.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovka and Marganets were hit.

Petrol stations, a block of flats, private homes and a minibus were damaged.

A 61-year-old man was injured. He will receive outpatient treatment.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, infrastructure was damaged as a result of the attacks. An unused building also caught fire.

Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, 14 people, including one child, were injured as a result of Russian strikes in the Kherson region.

Five high-rise blocks, eight private homes, an administrative building, a museum, a gas pipeline, shops, agricultural machinery, garages and cars were damaged.

Seven people were evacuated from the region’s de-occupied communities.

Donetsk Region

In the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, one civilian was killed and a further 13 people were injured as a result of Russian shelling.

According to regional authorities, 12 people were injured in Druzhkivka, and one more person was injured in Krasnotorets.
