Russian attacks on regions across Ukraine have resulted in fatalities and dozens of injuries

During the night of 21 May and over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked a number of regions in Ukraine using drones, artillery and aerial bombs. The strikes have resulted in casualties and damage to residential buildings, businesses and infrastructure.

In Dnipro, two women aged 58 and 35 were injured in an attack by Russian drones. Both will receive outpatient treatment.

The strike damaged a flat on the fifth floor of a residential building. The blast wave also shattered windows in several neighbouring buildings. A fire broke out at the scene, which was extinguished by emergency services.

In total, four people were injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region overnight. Russian forces attacked five districts of the region 15 times using drones, artillery and guided aerial bombs.

In Kryvyi Rih, a business was damaged and a 34-year-old man was injured. In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Myrivska, Pokrovska, Marganetska and Chervonohryhorivska came under attack. Infrastructure and a business were damaged there, and a 42-year-old man was hospitalised in a condition of moderate severity.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, a private house was damaged, and in the Troitska community of the Pavlohrad district, a lorry caught fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, according to the regional military administration, Russian forces carried out 839 strikes on 53 settlements over the past 24 hours. Two men were injured. There were 101 reports of damage to homes, cars, farm buildings and infrastructure.

In the Sumy region, one person was killed and 15 others were injured as a result of Russian shelling over the past 24 hours.

In the Konotop community, one person was killed and 12 civilians were injured. Multi-storey buildings, administrative buildings, shopping centres, shops, and medical and social facilities were damaged.

In the Shostka community, one person was injured and a residential building was damaged. In the Buryn community, two people were injured, and residential buildings and vehicles were also damaged and destroyed there.

In the Vorozhba, Kyrykivka, Sumy, Berezivka and Esman communities, private homes, garages, outbuildings, civilian vehicles, a low-pressure gas pipeline and a grain warehouse were damaged. Three vehicles were destroyed.

In the Kherson region, ten people were injured as a result of Russian attacks. Two high-rise buildings, six private homes, a production workshop, a mobile phone mast, a garage and vehicles were damaged.

In the Chernihiv region, Russian troops struck an agricultural enterprise in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district. One person was killed and two others were injured. The strike caused a car and a warehouse to catch fire.

In the Donetsk region, Russian troops killed one person and wounded 11 others over the past 24 hours. According to the head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, the fatality occurred in Oleksievo-Druzhkivka. Residents of Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk and Malotaranivka were wounded.
