Russian troops have attacked seven regions of Ukraine; there have been fatalities and dozens of people have been injured
Zaporizhzhia Region
On the night of 27 July, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, FPV drones and Shahed strike drones.
At around five o’clock in the morning, a guided aerial bomb struck a residential area. The strike destroyed two private houses. A 67-year-old man was killed. Rescue workers extracted a 22-year-old man from the rubble and handed him over to medics. According to regional authorities, his life is not in danger.
At 04:43, an FPV drone struck a house in the southern part of the city. A 53-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were injured. Neighbouring houses and cars were also damaged by the blast wave and debris.
Later, a Russian attack drone struck a food processing plant.
According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Russian forces carried out 917 strikes on the region over the past 24 hours. Forty-five settlements came under fire.
Kharkiv region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 15 settlements in the region, using two missiles, seven guided aerial bombs, seven half-tonne high-explosive aerial bombs and 39 drones of various types.
In Kharkiv, the Shevchenkivskyi, Slobidskyi, Industrialnyi and Osnovyanskyi districts were hit. Twenty private homes and a car were damaged. A 40-year-old woman was killed. A 54-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy were injured. A further 14 people, including a 17-year-old girl, suffered acute stress reactions.
In Izium, three people were injured as a result of a Russian air strike. Two fires also broke out in a metal hangar and a warehouse building with a total area of 500 square metres. Firefighters extinguished the blazes.
Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian forces attacked Dnipro and three districts of the region more than 20 times, using drones, artillery and a guided aerial bomb.
In Dnipro, a business, blocks of flats, shops and cars were damaged.
In the Nikopol district, Nikopol and the Marganets community came under attack. A nursery, infrastructure facilities, blocks of flats and private houses, as well as a bread kiosk, were damaged. A 59-year-old woman and a six-year-old boy were injured.
In the Synelnykivskyi district, a secondary school, a business and a private house were damaged. In Pavlohrad, a fire broke out following the strike, which was extinguished by the emergency services.
Sumy Region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out nearly 80 strikes on 24 settlements across 20 communities in the Sumy region. Nine people were injured, including one child.
In the Sumy community, a 15-year-old girl, a 39-year-old man, and two women aged 58 and 70 were injured as a result of strikes by guided aerial bombs.
A 46-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man suffered acute stress reactions after a drone struck their car. Another 34-year-old woman was injured as a result of a drone strike.
According to the State Emergency Service, seven guided aerial bombs struck Sumy. Private homes, infrastructure and transport were damaged. Russian drones also attacked a factory and a shopping centre. All fires have been extinguished.
Kherson region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces attacked 32 settlements in the Kherson region using drones, aircraft and artillery.
Seven people were injured. Twelve residents were evacuated from liberated communities in the region.
Mykolaiv Region
Russian troops attacked port infrastructure in the Mykolaiv district using strike drones.
Three civilian vessels were damaged. Initial reports indicated that a man had been injured, but regional authorities later confirmed the death of a 48-year-old man.
The Snigurivka community in the Bashtanka district was also hit by ‘Molniya’-type drones. In addition, Russian forces attacked the Ochakiv community three times with FPV drones. There were no casualties there.
Donetsk region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have injured three civilians in the Donetsk region. Two people were injured in Kramatorsk, and another was injured in Dobropillia.
