Shevchenkivskyi District Court extended the preventive measure for Artem Kosov, an employee of the State Security Service
The court extended the preventive measure for a UDO employee accused in the case of the death of a teenager at the funicular station.

Kosiv will remain in custody until August 16 without the right to bail, reports a correspondent of Suspilne.

On April 7, 2024, the boy died at the funicular station. According to witnesses, after exiting the carriage at the upper station, a man pushed the teenager. He fell, shattered the glass with his head, and received a fatal neck wound. The young man was bleeding for several minutes before the ambulance arrived. The deceased was Maksym Materukhin, who was studying in 10-A grade at Kyiv School No. 36.

Seven teenagers who witnessed the tragic incident provided testimony. The State Bureau of Investigation has opened a criminal case, as the conflict participant with the teenager was a driver in the State Security Service. Subsequently, the man was notified of suspicion of intentional murder.
