The P1-SUN high-speed interceptor drone
The Ukrainian company SkyFall has unveiled a new model of its high-speed interceptor drone, the P1-SUN. The drone, known as the P1-SUN Jetkiller, has already undergone combat trials and shot down more than a dozen Shahed jet drones.

This is according to Reuters.

The drone was unveiled at the international air show in Farnborough, UK. SkyFall said that work on the upgraded version began around three months ago. Mass production of the P1-SUN Jetkiller is scheduled to begin as early as August 2026.

According to the developers, the P1-SUN Jetkiller is a faster version of the basic interceptor, which the Ukrainian military has been using since the end of 2025. The new drone has a top speed of up to 370 km/h, whilst the previous model reached speeds of up to 310 km/h.

The company also noted that the basic P1-SUN variant has destroyed over 5,500 Russian Shahed drones since its first combat deployment in November 2025. SkyFall’s current production capacity allows it to manufacture up to 50,000 such drones per month.

Also during the exhibition, the Ukrainian company ‘General Chereshnya’ announced that it is finalising the development of an upgraded version of the Bullet interceptor, capable of speeds in excess of 400 km/h. Meanwhile, the British-Ukrainian firm Firebolt Engineering has already tested the Griffen jet interceptor, which currently reaches speeds of up to 350 km/h and is set to be fitted with a new engine to achieve speeds of up to 400 km/h.

In recent months, Russia has been increasingly deploying jet-powered versions of the Shahed, which can reach speeds of up to 500 km/h. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, approximately 15–20 per cent of the drones of this type launched by the Russians are already equipped with jet engines.

The Russians have also begun to use jet-powered drones and hybrid loitering munitions, or small ‘Banderol’ cruise missiles, more frequently to strike targets in Ukraine.
