Police investigate circumstances of traffic accident
A night-time accident in the Solomyanskyi district ended in the death of a car driver after a collision with a lorry.

In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic accident that occurred at around 00:40 on Kiltseva Road. According to preliminary data, a 35-year-old driver of a Lincoln car lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Volvo truck.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the car suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. Investigative teams worked at the scene of the accident, recording the circumstances of the accident and seizing the vehicles for the necessary examinations.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road safety rules or transport operation rules by persons driving vehicles, resulting in the death of the victim. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
