Taras Topolia commented on the dissemination of intimate videos of his ex-wife
Taras Topolia, lead singer of the band Antytila, has responded to the circulation of intimate videos featuring his ex-wife, Ukrainian singer Olena Topolia. The artist shared his thoughts on his Facebook page.
According to the performer, on the night of 19 January, he received intimate videos featuring his ex-wife via email. Taras Topolia emphasised that they had been officially divorced since 14 January, so Olena, in his words, had every right to her own private life.
The artist stressed that he was outraged not by the content of the video, but by the actions of the perpetrators. He noted that a crime had been committed against his ex-wife, as blackmail, filming without consent and distribution of intimate material are criminal offences.
"At night, I received a letter in the mail with intimate videos of Olena and another man. I want to emphasise to everyone that last year we announced our mutual intention to divorce and began the process, and on 14 January 2026, the court officially divorced us. So Olena had every right to her own personal life — as she wished and with whom she wished," Topolia wrote.
He also added that no one had the right to commit illegal acts, spy, film, blackmail or try to gain benefit by harming their private life and trying to complicate the lives of their children.
