The General Staff reported 217 combat engagements over the past 24 hours and more than 1,300 casualties among the Russian armed forces
Day 1,609 of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 217 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past 24 hours. Russian troops carried out two missile strikes using two missiles, conducted 78 air strikes and dropped 254 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the occupiers deployed 10,408 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,346 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 38 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck three areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, five artillery systems and two drone control centres.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled one assault. Meanwhile, Russian troops carried out two air strikes using seven guided bombs and conducted 50 shelling attacks, two of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, Ukrainian units repelled seven attacks near Staritsa, as well as in the directions of Tsehelny, Vovchanski Khutory, Izbytskyi and Kolodyazne.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched three attacks in the directions of Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 attacks in the areas of Lyman, Stavky and Ozerny, as well as in the directions of Shyikivka, Drobyshove and Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out 30 assault operations in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Kaleniky and Rai Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk front, the occupiers launched six attacks in the directions of Fedorivka Druha, Nykyforivka, Yurkivka and Vasyutynske.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 14 attacks were recorded in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil and Illinivka, as well as in the direction of Rusyno Yar.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 attacks. Russian troops operated in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Bilytske and Serhiivka, and also advanced in the directions of Shevchenko, Novyi Shakhovyi, Vilne, Toretsk, Sofiivka, Kucherove Yar, Myrne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out four attacks in the directions of Vorone, Oleksandrohrad and Ternove.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces launched 14 attacks in the directions of Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvizhivka, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve and Hirke.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two attempts by the enemy to advance towards Mali Shcherbaky and Bilohirya.
No assault operations were recorded in the Dnipro sector. In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces suffered 1,370 casualties over the past 24 hours. The Defence Forces also destroyed three tanks, seven armoured fighting vehicles, 92 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, two air defence systems, five ground-based robotic systems, 1,865 unmanned aerial vehicles, 453 vehicles and eight pieces of specialised equipment.
