The Kerch Bridge has been closed again in Crimea
This was reported by Krym.Realii, citing a Telegram channel controlled by the Russian authorities.
Traffic across the bridge resumed after three hours of restrictions
According to the report, traffic across the Kerch Bridge was halted at 4.10 am. Traffic was only restored at 7.12 am. The Russian authorities have not officially explained the reasons for the temporary closure of the crossing.
An explosion was reported in Crimea
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed to have allegedly destroyed 33 drones over Crimea and 11 other regions of Russia. However, the ministry did not specify how many drones had directly attacked the peninsula or whether any had been hit. The Telegram channel ‘Crimean Wind’, citing local residents, reported a powerful explosion in the area of the village of Kacha near Sevastopol at around 2:55 am. There is currently no official information on the consequences of the possible strike.
The Ukrainian side has not commented on the situation
At the time of publication, the Ukrainian military and official authorities had not commented on reports of explosions or traffic restrictions on the Kerch Bridge. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Crimea has regularly been the target of drone and missile attacks. At the same time, the Russian authorities rarely disclose details regarding possible strikes on military targets on the peninsula.
