The national cashback for May and June will be paid out in August
This was announced by the press office of Diia.
The funds will be received by programme participants who, during May and June, purchased registered Ukrainian goods in participating shops and paid using bank cards linked to the programme.
Payments for the two months will not be combined into a single transfer. First, the money for May will be credited to the ‘National Cashback’ card, and once this stage is complete, a list of recipients for June will be drawn up.
The register for May has already been compiled. You can check the amount and the status of its processing in the ‘Diia’ app under the ‘National Cashback’ section.
Exact dates for the two payments have not yet been announced. ‘Diya’ has only specified that both payments are to be made gradually throughout August.
How much money can you receive?
The maximum cashback amount is 3,000 hryvnias per month. Therefore, a participant who has accumulated the maximum amount in both May and June can receive up to 6,000 hryvnias in total.
However, these funds will be paid in two separate instalments — up to 3,000 hryvnias for each month. The actual amount will depend on the cost of the goods purchased and the cashback rate set for the relevant category.
Under the current terms, the government reimburses 5% or 15% of the cost of Ukrainian goods registered in the programme. You can check whether a specific product is eligible and the amount of the refund on the ‘Made in Ukraine’ website or by scanning the barcode using the ‘Diya’ app.
Why has the payment schedule changed?
Initially, cashback for purchases made in May was scheduled to be paid out in July. Following an update to the schedule, the payments were postponed to August.
‘Diya’ explained that they will first process all payments for May. Only then will they compile the register for June and begin the next stage of fund transfers.
A new phase of the programme began on 1 May 2026, so cashback balances are being reset. The April payment marked the end of the previous phase.
Which funds are affected by the 31 July deadline?
Cashback accumulated up to and including 30 April – including the April payment and any remaining balances from previous accruals – must be used by 31 July 2026. After this date, any unused funds will be returned to the state budget.
This requirement applies to funds from the previous phase of the programme. These should not be confused with the payments for May and June, which will only be made in August.
Cashback can be spent on Ukrainian food, medicines and medical supplies, books, utility bills and postal services. The funds may also be transferred to charities or to support the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
Currently, over 5 million Ukrainians are using the programme. Manufacturers have registered over 422,000 Ukrainian-made products with the programme.
