The police and the SSU are investigating an incident at the TCC in Lviv; one of the attackers has been detained
The National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine are conducting pre-trial investigations into the events that took place in Lviv during an incident involving representatives of the regional recruitment centre.
In particular, National Police investigators are looking into an attack on a police officer who was maintaining public order during the incident.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated in this case under Part 2 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for threats or violence against a law enforcement officer.
The police have identified the attacker and detained him in accordance with due process. The decision on whether to notify him of the suspicion against him is currently being considered. Law enforcement officials also reported that investigative measures are ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Security Service of Ukraine is conducting a pre-trial investigation under Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning the obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a state of emergency.
All evidence gathered by the police whilst documenting the incident has been handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine to be included in the criminal case file.
It was previously reported that in Lviv, during an attack on a vehicle belonging to the territorial recruitment centre, civilians used force against two military personnel. An internal investigation has also been launched into this incident.
