Trump may withdraw some US troops from Europe

Some US troops may be redeployed to Poland
NATO believes that US President Donald Trump may decide to reduce the American military contingent in Europe. One possible step mentioned is reducing the presence of US troops at bases in Italy. During an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Trump confirmed that he is considering this possibility. According to him, the reason is a lack of support from Italy in the past.
“Italy wasn’t there when we needed it. I have always been there for Italy, as has my country,” said the US president, commenting on the situation surrounding the operation in Iran.

Washington may review Biden’s decisions
Sources also do not rule out that the Trump administration may review certain decisions made during Joe Biden’s presidency. In particular, this concerns the possible cancellation of plans to deploy long-range missiles in Germany. Furthermore, the White House may scale back US participation in certain military exercises in Europe and alter the deployment of units, moving them to countries that Washington considers more allied.
