Trump demands an investigation into his "Ukrainian impeachment"

The President of the United States calls for an investigation into the impeachment procedure initiated against him in 2019. He was then accused of attempting to pressure Ukraine.

Трамп заявив, що вимагає розслідування щодо "українського імпічменту". Він порівняв його з іншим відомим американським політичним скандалом - Вотергейтським.

"Я щиро сподіваюся, що відповідні органи, включаючи Конгрес, це розслідують! Адам Шіфф* був настільки нечесним та корумпованим. Було порушено і просто знехтувано стільки законів і процедур!", - написав президент.

* Колишній голова Розвідувального комітету Палати представників Адам Шіфф був ключовою фігурою в спробах усунення Дональда Трампа. Він не лише очолював перший процес імпічменту у якості головного менеджера, але й активно долучився до другого, закріпивши за собою роль одного з найвідоміших критиків колишнього президента.

У квітні 2025 року сенатор-демократ від Каліфорнії Шіфф закликав Конгрес розпочати розслідування, щоб з’ясувати, хто міг заздалегідь знати про рішення Трампа щодо тарифів і, можливо, отримав вигоду від різких коливань на ринку.
