Models of the FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles were unveiled at a security conference in Rzeszów
Security Conference
On 27 April, a conference entitled ‘Towards the URC (Ukraine Recovery Conference): Security and the Defence Dimension’ took place in Rzeszów. The event was attended by the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Poland, Yulia Svyrydenko and Donald Tusk.
The heads of government took part in the opening panel. The main topics were security and defence, with a focus on the defence industry, infrastructure, energy and logistics.
An exhibition area is operating as part of the conference, where Ukrainian, Polish and foreign companies are showcasing technologies and solutions in the security sector. Forty-five Ukrainian companies presented their capabilities.
The event marks the start of preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will take place on 25–26 June in Gdańsk. Delegations from 100 countries are expected to attend, including 40 at government level.
Presentation of Ukrainian missiles
During the conference, Fire Point presented scale models of the FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles. This is the first demonstration of physical models of such developments.
Previously, similar projects existed only in the form of presentation images. The presentation took place as part of an international event that brought together representatives from government, business and the defence sector.
According to the developers, the FP-9 can strike targets at a considerable distance. It is also noted that this missile is larger than its Russian counterparts of the ‘Iskander’ type. Its range is approximately 800–850 km, and its warhead can weigh up to 850 kg.
In addition to the FP-9, the FP-7 missile was also presented. According to reports, it is designed to engage targets at medium ranges.
It is expected that the FP-9 may be codified by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in the summer of 2026.
