A grenade was detonated in a high-rise building in Zhytomyr: details
In Zhytomyr, an unknown person detonated a grenade in a high-rise building. The police arrived at the scene; as far as is known, no one was injured.
This was reported by the press office of the Zhytomyr Regional Police.
“At around 10:00 on 6 April, the police received a report of a loud noise in a block of flats on Ofitserska Street. It has been preliminarily established that a live grenade detonated in the flat. No one was injured as a result of the incident,” the police said.
An investigative team from Zhytomyr District Police Department No. 1 and bomb disposal experts from the regional police headquarters are working at the scene.
Law enforcement officers are investigating all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the origin of the munition. It is believed that a 43-year-old man from Zhytomyr lived in the flat. The police are also trying to locate him.
