In Dnipro, law enforcement officers exposed an illegal drug lab set up in a warehouse hangar. According to the police, a 42-year-old resident of the city rented the premises and invested about UAH 8 million in the illegal business. As a result, he grew about 220 bushes of drug-containing plants.

The criminal activity was documented by officers of the Drug Crime Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipro region. The investigation revealed a hangar with heat and waterproofing, forced ventilation, artificial lighting and temperature control systems. A modern hydroponic system with drip irrigation was used for growing.

After ripening, the plants were dried and chopped. They planned to sell them in Dnipro and the region. Law enforcement officers conducted four searches at the suspect's place of residence, in a warehouse and in two cars and seized evidence of illegal activity.

The man was served a notice of suspicion under Part Two of Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
