In the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, this morning, July 10, a colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine was shot dead.

According to reports from «Suspilne» and Ukrainska Pravda, citing sources in law enforcement agencies and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

Earlier, the Kyiv police reported that a shooting occurred in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv in the morning. The victim died at the scene.

Around 09:00, a man approached SBU Colonel Ivan Voronych and fired 5 targeted shots with a pistol, then fled the scene of the crime.

As a result of the shooting, the victim sustained multiple penetrating gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

The SBU press service confirmed the murder of a service employee to Ukrainska Pravda journalists.
