A new bridge is to be built in the park on Pryrichna Street in the Obolon district of the capital, serving as a symbol of solidarity between Kyiv and Vilnius.

The project is being funded entirely by grants from the Lithuanian side – Vilnius City Council and the Lithuanian Cooperation Development Fund.

This was announced by Valentin Mondriyevskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

The structure will be built across the backwater, modelled on the famous King Mindaugas Bridge in Vilnius.

The project to renovate the south-western part of the park on Pririchna Street has already undergone three stages of public consultation with local residents. From the outset, the new recreational space is being designed according to the principles of full accessibility for all sections of the population.
