On Sunday morning, Russian troops launched an attack on Lviv with aeroballistic "Kinzhal" missiles.

This is reported by ThePublic.info citing Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyy.

Around 06:30, missiles were launched from MiG-31 fighters. They flew over Sumy, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr regions. At 06:36, a series of explosions was recorded in Lviv.

Prior to that, the city was under attack for several hours by a large number of kamikaze drones "Shahed" and cruise missiles.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi stated that due to the shelling, public transport will temporarily cease to operate. Also, Sadovyi reported that an industrial park Sparrow is on fire in Lviv.

"There is no confirmed information about hazardous emissions in Lviv yet, but it’s better to close your windows and stay in a safe place just in case. After Russian shelling, several fires are ongoing in the city, so it’s important to protect yourself from possible harmful vapors and smoke. After the alarm ends, do not rush to go outside. Relevant services are already working," - wrote the mayor of Lviv.
