Russia has reported the loss of a Su-30 fighter jet over occupied Crimea
The statement from the Russian agency was reported by RIA Novosti.
“Today at around 11:00 Moscow time, a Su-30 aircraft crashed in the Republic of Crimea whilst carrying out a scheduled training flight. The aircraft was flying without a weapons load,” the ministry said.
They claim that the crew ejected and that there is currently “no threat to the pilots’ lives”.
A few days ago, the Russian Ministry of Defence also reported the ‘disappearance’ of its An-26 aircraft over occupied Crimea. Subsequently, Russia confirmed that the aircraft had crashed, resulting in the deaths of 30 people.
