Talks have begun in the state of Florida between the Ukrainian and U.S. delegations. The main goal of the meeting is to coordinate steps toward achieving a just peace and ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.

As ThePublic.info reports, citing the statement of the head of the Ukrainian delegation and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov, official negotiations between the Ukrainian and American sides began on Sunday, November 30, in the United States. The meeting is taking place in the state of Florida and focuses on further steps to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Umerov confirmed that the talks have already started:
“In the United States, a meeting between the Ukrainian delegation and the American side has begun to discuss steps toward achieving a just peace,” the NSDC Secretary stated.

According to him, he remains in constant contact with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and is acting in line with clearly defined priorities.

“We have clear directives — the protection of Ukrainian interests, substantive dialogue, and moving forward based on the progress achieved in Geneva. We are working for a real peace for Ukraine and guaranteed security,” Umerov emphasized.

He also noted that the Ukrainian delegation will report to the President on the outcomes of today’s meetings.
