On 20 March at 6.00 pm, the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theatre in Kyiv will host the premiere of the production *The Master Builder*, based on the play of the same name by the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen.

The production was directed by Dmytro Bohomazov and designed by Petro Bohomazov. The creators offer their own interpretation of one of the most famous works of Norwegian drama, presenting it in a contemporary theatrical format. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.

The organisers note that the production may appeal both to audiences who are just discovering contemporary theatre and to those who already follow the creative experiments of Ukrainian artists.

The protagonist of the production is Halvard Solnes, a renowned architect whose career is rapidly advancing. At the same time, he is increasingly gripped by a fear of young talents who might surpass his achievements.

One day, a young woman named Hilda Vangel visits Solnes’s studio, and this encounter takes the protagonist back to events of the past. This marks the beginning of an inner struggle to re-evaluate his own life and past experiences.

The premiere will take place at: Kyiv, 5 Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street.
