A photo project #НаРівних about female border guards was presented in Kharkiv
The exhibition brings together 11 stories of female service members who demonstrate strength of character, resilience and dedication to their service. Each of the women featured in the photo project is depicted in two photographs: one showing her in military uniform whilst on duty, and the other showing her in civilian life. This contrast allows us to see not only the professional side of their service, but also the women’s personal stories, their dreams, the losses they have endured and their determination to move forward. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The State Border Guard Service emphasises that the agency consistently implements a policy of equal rights and opportunities for women and men, creating non-discriminatory conditions of service and supporting the professional development of every service member.
The project’s creators note that #OnEqualTerms features stories of conscious choice and vocation. The focus is on women who continue to serve their country, fulfil their promises to those taken by the war, and contribute to the fight for the liberation of Ukrainian territories.
The photo project was displayed for two days at one of Kharkiv’s media hubs. In the near future, the exhibition is set to be displayed at stations across the Kharkiv Metro, so that thousands of residents and visitors to the city can discover these stories.
