Ukraine has submitted a request to the US for an Easter truce — Zelenskyy

Poland has received a request from another NATO member state for the MiG-29 fighter jets that Warsaw had planned to transfer to Ukraine. The Polish authorities insist that Kyiv remains the primary recipient of the aircraft.

In 2025–2026, the Reconstruction Agency did not enter into any new contracts for the construction of third-level structures designed to protect energy facilities from missiles. However, this does not mean that such defences are not being built in Ukraine at all: work under previously concluded contracts remained unfinished.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, representatives of US President Donald Trump. During the talks, the parties discussed ways of stepping up diplomatic efforts to bring about peace.

Ukraine has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in response to the escalation of Russian attacks on civilian shipping in the Black Sea. Kyiv has proposed that the meeting take place on 27 July.

The new British Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has backed the decision to allow the United States to use British military bases for targeted strikes against Iran, which London describes as defensive. This approach continues the policy of the previous government.
