Russian troops intensified their assaults in the eastern directions, but Ukrainian defences are holding their positions and inflicting significant losses on the enemy

Over the past day, 177 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. The Russian army carried out 50 air strikes and dropped 137 guided bombs, carried out over 3,700 shellings and used 4,525 kamikaze drones. Despite the intensity of the attacks, Ukrainian forces are holding back the enemy, destroying equipment and manpower. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Facebook.

The missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces hit an artillery system, two UAV control points and another important facility.

In the north and Slobozhanshchyna, one attack was repelled, and the enemy carried out one air strike and over 140 shelling attacks. In the South Slobozhanshchyna direction, the Russians unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defences near Prylipky and Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk direction, two assault attempts towards Petropavlivka and Bohuslavka were repelled. In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 16 times in the areas of Hrekivka, Novyi Mir, Mirne, Stavky, and Drobysheve.

Defence forces stopped 12 attacks in the Sloviansk direction, in particular near Yampil, Serebryanka, Siversk and Zvanivka. In the Kramatorsk direction, two battles took place near Chasovy Yar and Bondarny.

The hottest spot remains the Pokrovsk direction — Ukrainian units repelled 48 attacks in the areas of Shakhovoye, Ivanivka, Mirnograd, Pokrovsk, Udachnoye, and a number of other settlements. In the Oleksandrivsk direction, 17 assaults were recorded, and in the Huliaipole direction, 14. In the Antonivsky Bridge area, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defences three times.

Russian forces lost more than 1,010 soldiers in 24 hours. One tank, one armoured vehicle, 25 artillery systems, 177 tactical-level drones and 107 vehicles were also destroyed.

In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost about 1 million 183 thousand soldiers, over 11 thousand tanks and almost 90 thousand drones.

The defence forces are calling on people to join the ranks of the defenders. Together we will win.

Russia is facing mounting pressure due to the situation on the front line, economic problems and strikes by Ukrainian drones on its territory. European officials suggest that Moscow’s increasingly aggressive rhetoric may be linked to attempts to restart the negotiation process on its own terms.
