Murder in Uzhhorod
A woman from Zaporizhzhia has been arrested in Zakarpattia on suspicion of poisoning a soldier on behalf of the Russian security services.

This has been reported by the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, a 26-year-old woman from Zaporizhzhia, who was temporarily living in Zakarpattia, agreed to obtain information from a Ukrainian soldier’s mobile phone for the Russian special services in exchange for $3,000.

The woman got to know the soldier and established a relationship of trust with him. Subsequently, following instructions from her handler in Russia, she obtained an unknown substance, which she slipped into the man’s drink. After a short while, the soldier lost consciousness and later died.

Afterwards, the perpetrator photographed the body and sent a report to her clients.

At the same time, she called an ambulance and attempted to stage the incident as an accident.

However, law enforcement officers exposed the suspect and arrested her. She faces life imprisonment.
