Over 2,000 reports of mining were recorded in Ukraine in a few hours
On Thursday, 30 January, starting at 9:30 a.m., government agencies, local authorities, educational institutions, businesses, banks, entertainment venues, and other facilities began receiving a flood of messages about alleged bomb threats. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
As of 12:10, the National Police had received more than 2,000 such messages. They concern facilities in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv.
The police are checking all of the above-mentioned locations in accordance with established procedures. According to preliminary data, almost 30% of the reports received have already been investigated, and no evidence of mining has been found at these locations.
Law enforcement officers are continuing their checks and urge citizens to remain calm and follow the instructions of the emergency services.
