A digital platform for farmers, AKIS, has been launched in Ukraine
This was announced by the Ministry’s press office.
The platform has been created as a single point of access to information for farmers: it brings together practical advice, training materials, analytics and opportunities for consultation. In effect, AKIS acts as a ‘digital assistant’ for agricultural producers, enabling them to quickly find solutions for their day-to-day work.
As Deputy Minister Denys Bashlyk noted, the launch of the platform marks a transition to a modern model for the agricultural sector, where knowledge and innovation become real tools for farmers. He emphasised that over 260 resources are already available on the platform – ranging from analytics to practical advice that helps farmers work more efficiently.
AKIS integrates farmers, scientists, advisors, businesses and government institutions into a single system, shortening the path from scientific research to its practical application. A particular advantage is integration with the State Agricultural Register (DAR): users can access the platform without re-registering.
Key features of the platform include:
- access to practical recommendations, analytics and training materials;
- online consultations and professional knowledge-sharing;
- a forum for interaction between agricultural producers, researchers and the state.
“The AKIS platform is set to become a practical tool for agricultural producers: to work more efficiently, save resources and stay informed about new opportunities for support and development. At the same time, the launch of the platform marks a transition to a modern model for the agricultural sector, where knowledge becomes a resource for development and innovation the foundation of competitiveness. That is why AKIS is important not only for farmers but also for Ukraine’s economy as a whole,” the statement reads.
As a reminder, as of mid-April 2026, Ukrainian agricultural producers had sown 927,000 hectares of cereals and legumes.
