In the Lviv region, a lorry collided with the Przemyśl–Kyiv train. The police are investigating the circumstances.

This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia and the Lviv Regional Police.

The accident occurred in the village of Mshana, Lviv district, at around 14:20. The company says that the lorry driver ‘failed to notice’ the audible and visual warning signals, after which he collided with the train’s locomotive.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the carriages were not damaged, and the driver fled the scene after the accident. There were no casualties.

Local police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident. According to law enforcement, the MAN lorry was driven by a 48-year-old man.
