The spring cold snap continues: forecasters have issued a warning about dangerous weather on 28 April

According to the forecast, variable cloud cover will persist across almost the entire country throughout the day. In the northern and north-eastern regions, there will be light rain in places during the day, whilst no precipitation is expected in the rest of the country.
The wind will be mainly north-westerly, 7–12 m/s. Overnight, gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are possible in places in the east and north-east.
Overnight temperatures in most regions will be 0-3°C with frost, except along the coast and in Crimea. During the day, temperatures will rise to 6-11°C, and up to 15°C in the south.

Weather in Kyiv
Variable cloud cover is also expected in the capital. No precipitation at night, with light rain possible in places during the day. North-westerly wind, 7–12 m/s.
Temperatures across the region will be 0-3°C with frost at night, and 6-11°C during the day. In Kyiv, it will be 1-3°C at night, with ground frost of 0-2°C, and 8-10°C during the day.
Warning of hazardous phenomena
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre has issued a warning about hazardous and extreme weather conditions.
In Kyiv, ground frosts of 0–2° are expected on the night of 28 April, as well as on 29 and 30 April (hazard level I, yellow).
Across the region, air frosts of 0-3° are forecast for 28-30 April (hazard level II, orange).
As a reminder, over the weekend, Ukraine was hit by severe weather with gale-force winds, rain, snow and hail.
According to rescue services, the storm claimed the lives of three people in the Zaporizhzhia, Zakarpattia and Cherkasy regions, with a further seven people injured over the past 24 hours.
The bad weather also damaged the roofs of dozens of residential buildings and public facilities, educational establishments and vehicles.
