Car explosion in Obolon district of Kyiv classified as terrorist attack
On the morning of 4 January, a car exploded in the yard of a house on Heroiv Dnipra Street in Kyiv's Obolon district. The explosion occurred when the trunk of an SUV was opened. Law enforcement agencies have classified the incident as a terrorist act. A pre-trial investigation was opened under part one of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Police, explosive experts and dog handlers were working at the scene. The investigation is being conducted by the SBU under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
