As a result of enemy attacks in Poltava and Sumy regions, there have been hits on energy facilities and railway infrastructure.

As reported ThePublic.info, this was posted on Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba. According to him, in Poltava, the affected areas include the locomotive depot, the energy supply line, and traction substations. Administrative and warehouse buildings, rolling stock have been damaged. Fires broke out, which were extinguished by rescuers.

“No casualties”, - emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.

Due to the attack, trains Kharkiv–Lviv, Lviv–Kharkiv, Kramatorsk–Lviv were temporarily delayed – now all are in operation.

As Kuleba noted, as a result of the hits, an energy facility was damaged, leaving over a thousand households in Poltava and surrounding settlements without power.

In Sumy, a similar situation has been recorded, with damage to residential buildings and partial city blackout.

As the Deputy Prime Minister reported, local crisis response teams are working on-site. Specialists are inspecting territories, restoring power supply, and assisting people.

Rail traffic has stabilized, critical infrastructure is gradually returning to operation, he added.

“The enemy's goal is obvious – Russia is trying to make cold and darkness into weapons. The enemy wants to disrupt the heating season and paralyze the work of Ukrzaliznytsia, which remains a critical artery of the country”, - emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
