According to the Seeon26 document, Germany is to create an arsenal of long-range precision weapons capable of operating deep behind enemy lines. The plan envisages equipping the army with cruise missiles, attack drones, mini missiles and developing its own hypersonic systems
A special emphasis is placed on transforming the Bundeswehr into a full-fledged drone army with at least 100,000 drones. It is also proposed to create an Iron Dome-style air defence system with about 2,000 interceptor missiles and to strengthen control over the Baltic Sea with the help of underwater drones to protect critical infrastructure
The CSU emphasises that Russia's victory in the war against Ukraine could push the Kremlin to new aggression, so Germany must take on greater responsibility in the field of European security. Chancellor Friedrich Merz has previously declared his readiness to provide the army with all the necessary financial resources, and the plans of the CSU detail this course
