Death of Ukrainian women in Belgium: teenage son confessed to murder
The Ukrainian family had been living in Belgium for 3 years. The children's father is a soldier.

The 16-year-old son of a Ukrainian citizen was at school during the fire. Initially, he was taken into custody, but it now appears that the teenager confessed to a double murder. As reported by VRT, it is unclear what his motive was. The boy will appear before a juvenile court.

As is known, on June 6 around 9:30 a.m. local time, the fire brigade received a call about a fire in a house on Milsestraat in the city of Haasrode. The house belongs to a local priest but was rented by the municipality for Ukrainian refugees.

As soon as the fire was brought under control, rescuers found the body of a 46-year-old woman. They also found her 6-year-old daughter, who was resuscitated, but the girl did not survive.

Both victims had stab wounds on their bodies, and the conclusions of a fire safety expert indicated that the fire was deliberately set.

The Ukrainian family had been living in Belgium for three years. The children's father is a military officer.
