President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleh Ivashchenko
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Oleh Ivashchenko will head the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. Also in January, proposals to update the SBI will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced personnel decisions in the security sector and law enforcement. According to him, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, will continue to serve as a military intelligence officer and head the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. The necessary documents for his appointment are currently being prepared

During his report to the President, Ivashchenko informed him about the security situation around Ukraine and key threats. Zelenskyy emphasised that one of the priorities remains the reduction of Russia's economic potential, in particular through restrictions and cheaper oil exports, which, according to him, expands opportunities for diplomacy

The president also said that he had instructed to prepare and submit to the parliament proposals to update the State Bureau of Investigation in January. It is expected that the relevant presidential draft law will be immediately submitted to the Verkhovna Rada
