Zelenskyy appoints new deputy heads of SBU and Anti-Terrorist Centre

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed the first deputy and two deputy heads of the SBU, as well as a new head of the Anti-Terrorist Centre. The composition of the National Security and Defence Council has also been updated.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a number of decrees on appointments to the Security Service of Ukraine and renewal of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine. The documents were published on 5 January

Oleksandr Poklad has been appointed First Deputy Head of the SSU. Andriy Tupikov and Denys Kilimnik have been appointed deputy heads of the service. At the same time, Kilimnik became the head of the Anti-Terrorist Centre at the SSU

In a separate decree, Zelenskyy appointed Kyrylo Budanov, who currently serves as the head of the Presidential Office, to the NSDC. Oleh Ivashchenko was removed from the NSDC
