The President discussed diplomatic tasks with the Ambassador to the United Kingdom and agreed on cooperation with well-known volunteers to strengthen support for the army and the volunteer movement.

On Thursday, 15 January, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a series of meetings with key public figures in Kyiv. In particular, the head of state met with the Ukrainian ambassador to the United Kingdom and former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny, DW reports.

Zelensky said that he thanked Zaluzhny for his work in the Ukrainian team and discussed with him current diplomatic tasks that should strengthen the stability of the state. The president did not specify the details of the conversation or the reasons for the ambassador's visit to Kyiv. Zaluzhny himself did not provide any public comments on the meeting.

On the same day, the president also reported on a meeting with volunteer and blogger Serhiy Sternenko. According to Zelensky, the parties discussed the development of volunteerism, legislative support for this area, and practical assistance to combat units. The president noted that it is important to have as much information as possible from all levels, and as a result of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation was reached.

Sternenko, for his part, said that he had the opportunity to raise the most pressing issues of supplying the army and charitable activities. He also conveyed to the president comments and wishes from the military, emphasising that he receives significant feedback from the front line every day.

The day before, Zelensky held a separate meeting with volunteer and TV presenter Serhiy Prytula. During the conversation, they discussed additional opportunities to support volunteers and foundations and preserve the tradition of uniting Ukrainians to solve national problems. Prytula thanked the president for the substantive dialogue and his willingness to listen to the requests of the volunteer community.

No other details about the content of the meetings with volunteers have been disclosed at this time.
