Zelensky: about 1,100 Russian troops in Pokrovsk, Ukrainian Armed Forces hold positions
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian forces control the situation in key areas of the frontline and hold the defence despite the constant pressure from the Russian army. According to him, the situation has not fundamentally changed over the past month, although the enemy is increasing its numbers in a number of settlements.
According to the Head of State, there are about 1,100 Russian troops in the area of Pokrovsk. Significant enemy forces are also concentrated on the outskirts of the city, but Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the defence and do not allow the enemy to advance.
In Myrnohrad, the situation remains tense due to intense pressure from the Russian Federation. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their positions and fulfilling their combat missions.
At the same time, Ukrainian troops have tactical successes in the Kupyanka sector. According to the President, they have advanced by about half a kilometre and are clearing the area. Small enemy forces, numbering up to a hundred people, remain in Kupyanka, and their presence is temporary.
Zelensky also noted that the situation in the Gulyaypol area has stabilised over the past week after a difficult period of fighting.
