Zelenskyy announced an agreement on the export of marine drones
This was reported by “Suspilne”.
During a conversation with journalists, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the agreements with Middle Eastern countries are strategic in nature and are designed to last for at least 10 years with each of the partner countries.
According to him, this involves comprehensive cooperation, including the supply of maritime drones, the transfer of software and electronic warfare systems, as well as the development of solutions for infrastructure protection.
The President emphasised that Ukraine is offering its partners not individual products, but integrated systems along with practical experience in their application.
Zelenskyy also recalled that the Ukrainian Defence Forces have already demonstrated the effectiveness of maritime drones in the Black Sea, particularly during the reopening of trade routes.
What else did Zelenskyy say about cooperation with partners
According to the President, Ukraine is ready to share this experience with its partners. In particular, the possibility of applying it to ensure the safety of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz was discussed.
At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that security issues in this region are currently being handled directly by the US, but Ukraine is ready to assist its partners.
The article also recalls that on 27 March 2026, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia signed a defence cooperation agreement. The agreement lays the foundation for future contracts, technological cooperation and investments in the security sector.
Furthermore, on 9 March, Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the New York Times that Ukrainian experts in unmanned aerial vehicles and interceptor drones had travelled to Jordan to protect US military bases from attacks by Iranian drones.
At the same time, the president noted that 11 countries had sent requests to Ukraine for assistance in intercepting and shooting down Iranian ‘Shaheds’.
It is worth recalling that during NATO exercises off the coast of Portugal, a unit led by Ukraine demonstrated the effectiveness of naval drones. Within the scenarios, the ‘hypothetical adversary’ was able to outmanoeuvre Alliance forces.
