Zelensky has instructed the SBU and the intelligence services to investigate the circumstances surrounding the situation in Vyshneve
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has stated that the situation in Vyshneve, in the Kyiv region, remains critical following the Russian attack due to secondary explosions. According to him, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has been reporting virtually every half hour since the start of the night on the progress of the rescue operation, the clearing of rubble and the extinguishing of fires.
The Head of State stated that he expects the Security Service of Ukraine and the intelligence services to provide a detailed account of what happened in Vyshneve.
“Since last night, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has been reporting virtually every half hour on the rescue operation, the clearing of rubble and the extinguishing of fires. I expect the Security Service of Ukraine and the intelligence services to provide a detailed account of what happened in Vyshneve,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President also stated that he had discussed with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko the issue of providing assistance to the affected community. According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers will allocate funds from the reserve fund, as the community’s own resources are insufficient to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
“We also spoke with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The Cabinet of Ministers will provide funds from the reserve fund to assist the community of Vyshneve: the scale of the damage is such that the community’s own resources will not be enough. I would like to thank all community leaders, every Ukrainian business, all civil society leaders and our partners who are helping people and ensuring that those affected by Russian strikes are not left without support,” the President said.
According to information cited in the source, air defence forces have intercepted 37 missiles and 326 drones used by Russian forces to attack Ukraine since the evening of 5 July. Kyiv was the main target of the attack. By the evening, 22 people were reported dead and nearly 90 wounded.
In Vyshneve, in the Kyiv region, dozens of houses on five streets were destroyed as a result of the Russian attack on 6 July.
