Syrsky summarised the results of the strikes against the enemy in June and put forward the Russian Federation’s losses
This was announced on Telegram by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“Throughout June, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ unmanned aerial systems carried out over 437,000 combat missions. More than 200,000 verified enemy targets were struck. We are steadily increasing our strike capabilities,” Syrskyi said.
By way of comparison, this figure stood at almost 180,000 at the start of the month.
With the help of unmanned systems, nearly 28,000 Russian occupiers were struck in June.
“The Defence Forces continue to increase their advantage over the enemy in the use of FPV drones. In June, the strike ratio was 1.6 to 1 in our favour, whereas in May it was 1.5 to 1. The positive trend continues,” noted the Commander-in-Chief.
Ukrainian troops are also consistently developing the Middle Strike capability. Whilst in May the Defence Forces carried out nearly 2,000 strikes using systems of this class, in June the figure rose to around 3,400.
“We are also building up our capabilities in the Deep Strike segment. In June, 172 enemy targets were struck in their operational and strategic depth. The enemy is already feeling the effects of these strikes. Their intensity and effectiveness will continue to grow,” added Syrskyi.
In addition, the development of ground-based robotic systems is being scaled up, as the use of these systems for logistics, the evacuation of the wounded and the execution of combat missions means, first and foremost, saving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
In June, Ukrainian ground-based robotic systems carried out around 17,000 missions. By comparison, the figure for May was 12,500.
“We are continuing to increase the number of Middle Strike and Deep Strike units, scaling up their capabilities and accelerating the training of the necessary specialists. The enemy’s rear areas, its military logistics, depots, command posts, energy infrastructure and other key targets will continue to come under constant fire from the Ukrainian Defence Forces,” the Commander-in-Chief noted.
Is a turning point in the war possible in the near future?
It should be recalled that earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Ukrainian Defence Forces are effectively resisting the enemy, but that there is currently no question of a turning point in the war.
Syrskyi also spoke of the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ latest successes on the front line:
- consistently high rates of destruction of Russian occupiers and their equipment,
- the systematic destruction of enemy logistics,
- effective strikes against military and critical infrastructure, particularly the Russian Federation’s fuel and energy sector.
As a reminder, earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi assessed the threats from the north, mobilisation in the Russian Federation and the Kremlin’s nuclear blackmail.
