Zelenskyy announced the shutdown of a chemical plant in Russia
Zelenskyy described the attack as a ‘long-range strike’
The head of state reported on the results of the strike in his address.
According to Zelenskyy, the plant is located 170 kilometres from Ukraine’s state border and is a key part of the Russian chemical industry. The President noted that the plant’s products are used by companies that manufacture aviation equipment, drones, rocket engines and explosives.
“Production at the plant has now been halted. Our long-range strike is significant,” Zelenskyy emphasised.
He also thanked the staff of the Security Service of Ukraine for carrying out the operation.
