The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding back the enemy and retaining control of the northern part of Pokrovsk — Syrskyi
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the northern part of Pokrovsk, where one of the most challenging phases of fighting in the Pokrovsk-Myrnograd agglomeration is ongoing. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi after a meeting with commanders of units, corps, brigades, regiments, and battalions.
According to him, the situation remains tense: Russian troops are trying to accumulate assault infantry groups and flank the cities, but Ukrainian units are blocking these attempts with their actions. Inside Pokrovsk and Myrnograd, defenders continue to hold their designated positions.
Syrskyi emphasized that, unlike Russian forces, which do not consider losses, the Ukrainian command prioritizes saving the lives of soldiers. During the meeting, the procedure for coordinated deployment of units, their supply, rotations, and support during search and assault operations was clarified.
To strengthen the resilience of the defense, a number of decisions have been made regarding combat management and interaction between units. Specifically, this includes creating additional logistical routes, ensuring operational medical evacuation, as well as enhancing counter-battery efforts and countering enemy UAVs.
The battles for Pokrovsk continue, Ukrainian forces hold key areas, and continue to repel the enemy's advances.
