Zelenskyy remains at the top of the polls, with Zaluzhnyy and Budanov still among the frontrunners
The publication ‘Politarena’ and the research company Active Group have published the results of an electoral poll conducted among 2,000 respondents.
The survey was carried out on the ‘SunFlower Sociology’ online panel using a self-completion questionnaire.
According to the results, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received the highest level of support among potential candidates.
Second place went to former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi. A commentary on the poll results notes that his support has almost halved compared to December.
Third place went to Kirill Budanov, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, with 7.2%.
Among the politicians also featured in the ranking are Petro Poroshenko, Yulia Tymoshenko and Dmytro Razumkov.
Particular attention is drawn to the appearance in the rankings of Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. The publication links this to issues concerning restrictions on Russians’ use of Starlink and preparations for the reform of territorial recruitment centres.
The author of the commentary notes that even in the absence of an election campaign, the results of such surveys remain an important indicator of public sentiment.
