50 thousand hryvnias for the birth of a child - the president signed the law
In Ukraine, starting from the next year, 50,000 hryvnias will be paid for the birth of a child.

Starting from next year, in Ukraine, 50,000 hryvnias will be paid for the birth of a child. The relevant law was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This was reported by thepublic.info citing the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The parliament's website states that the law was sent to the president for signature on November 10, and it was returned with the head of state's signature on November 14.

The document aims to support families with children, stimulate an increase in birth rates, and create conditions where parents can combine child-rearing with professional employment.

The law will come into effect on January 1, 2026. It provides for an increase in several types of monetary payments related to the birth and maintenance of children. Specifically, the following changes are introduced:

  • 50,000 hryvnias - one-time assistance upon the birth of a child;
  • 7,000 hryvnias - prenatal support for uninsured pregnant women;
  • 7,000 hryvnias - assistance for child care up to 1 year old;
  • 8,000 hryvnias - the "eNursery" program for caring for children from 2 to 3 years old.

At the same time, Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity Denys Uliutin previously noted that the right to receive a 7,000 hryvnias payment for child care up to one year old will be granted to all parents of children born in 2025.
