Two women who worked for the famous Spanish singer have filed a lawsuit in Madrid, accusing him and his entourage of sexual abuse and abuse of power.

Famous Spanish singer Julio Iglesias has been accused of sexual abuse and harassment. Two women who used to work for him as a cleaner and a physiotherapist filed the relevant claims with the National Court in Madrid.

According to media reports, the case concerns events that allegedly took place in 2021 in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas. The women claim that they were required to send photos of their faces and full-length photographs during the recruitment process, and later the singer allegedly asked them sexual questions that they considered unacceptable.

One of the complainants reported forced sexual penetration, which she said was accompanied by physical pain and psychological pressure. She also alleged that she may have been drunk, physically assaulted and forced into a threesome. According to her, while working at the estate, she was forbidden to have personal relationships and her phone was checked. After her release, she was diagnosed with dysthymic depression.

Another complainant said that Iglesias allegedly bragged about abusing a previous employee, presenting it as a joke. According to her, after a period of normal work, the singer began to humiliate her, and later forced her to expose her breasts and asked her questions about plastic surgery.

In addition to the artist himself, charges have also been brought against two managers of his estates. Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a confidential criminal investigation. Julio Iglesias does not provide public comments, while one of the heads of his estate called the charges groundless.
