The shelling of Vyshneve on 6 July: what is known

On the night of 6 July, Russian troops launched a massive strike on the Kyiv region, specifically targeting the town of Vyshneve. Secondary detonations were recorded there.

Due to the risk of secondary detonations of explosive devices, over 600 people were evacuated from Vyshneve.

In total, 13 hectares of residential buildings were damaged in Vyshneve. Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated that this was the most extensive destruction of residential areas since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Given the scale of the damage, the government will allocate funds from the reserve fund to rebuild the damaged housing in the community.
