Andriy Rubel has resigned from his post as Head of the Special Operations Department of the National Police of Ukraine
This was reported by the department.
The law enforcement officer had held this post since October 2022. The police have not specified the reasons for Andriy Rubel’s dismissal.
“Andriy Rubel has been dismissed from his post as head of the DSR. His deputy is temporarily performing the duties of the unit’s head,” Yulia Girdvilis, head of the communications department of the National Police of Ukraine, noted briefly in a comment.
It should be noted that Andriy Rubel has been working in law enforcement since 2005. During this time, he has held positions in the Main Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and the Criminal Investigation Department, and has headed the police in Zakarpattia and Kharkiv regions.
As previously reported by ThePublic, following the terrorist attack in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, the head of the Patrol Police Department, Yevhen Zhukov, resigned. He was subsequently appointed as an adviser to the head of the National Police.
