Andriy Rubel has been appointed as the new head of the Kyiv Regional Police
On Tuesday, 12 May, the Head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ivan Vyhovskyi, introduced Andrii Rubel, the new Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv Region, to the staff.
The event was also attended by the Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, heads of structural and territorial police units, as well as representatives of local authorities and self-government bodies.
During the presentation, Ivan Vyhovskyi thanked Anatolii Shchadyl for his service and work in the region. He also outlined the main tasks facing the Kyiv Regional Police under martial law.
“Kyiv Oblast is one of the most critical regions of the state, facing security challenges of wartime on a daily basis. Our main task is to ensure people’s safety, respond promptly to crimes and incidents, document Russian war crimes, counteract acts of sabotage, and provide maximum support to citizens. The police must work professionally, transparently and effectively,” said Ivan Vyhovskyi, Head of the National Police of Ukraine.
The Head of the National Police also emphasised the need to strengthen preventive work, ensure public safety and law and order, and engage with communities.
The newly appointed head of the Kyiv Regional Police, Andriy Rubel, thanked the state leadership and the National Police for their trust.
“Thank you for the trust placed in me to lead the Kyiv Region Police. This is a great responsibility for me. Together with the team, we will continue to work to ensure the safety of the region’s residents, respond to all the challenges of wartime and maintain law and order in the region,” emphasised Andriy Rubel.
