Russian attack on Rivne region: infrastructure damaged, over 10,000 people without electricity
On Tuesday, 20 January, Russian troops struck the Rivne region, damaging critical infrastructure and causing widespread power outages.
This was reported by the head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Koval. According to him, the region was attacked from the air in the morning.
"This morning, Rivne region experienced an enemy air attack. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. All relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.
He specified that critical infrastructure was damaged as a result of the shelling. Because of this, more than 10,000 subscribers in the region were left without electricity.
In addition, windows were broken in several residential buildings, and cars parked nearby were also damaged.
Earlier it was reported that powerful explosions were heard in Rivne in the morning. From midnight, an air raid alert was declared twice in the region. The last alert began at 06:26 due to the threat of drone use.
UPDATE: As of 10:21, all consumers who were left without power as a result of the enemy's morning attack have already been reconnected. Reported by Oleksandr Koval.
